Hauz Khas- ‘A Historical Heritage or Selfie Point?

Crumbling places, picturesque lakes, Islamic seminary, a mosque, medieval tombs, hidden rooms and iconic and the impressive architecture of historic buildings are some of the best places you would find in Hauz Khas.  The stories and legends behind this heritage are drastically stupendous. But, the main thing is that people don’t want to know the story behind this.

And now, Hauz khas has become a selfie point because now people come here with their friends and family spend their lovely time but most of them are only interested in taking selfies and don’t want to explore this historical place.

Actually, last week I went to Hauz-Khas to see the historical places for which it was basically known for. When I entered  I saw a board where it was written about ‘The lake, and how Hauz-khas’ got its name? After going through all the things written on the board, I came to know the whole story of Hauz-Khas. However, I studied history of Alauddin Khalji in school time but, I didn’t remember it at all at that time.

On the other hand, I noticed many people never wanted to see heritage and they were only interested in taking selfies in different poses like changing their hairstyle to get an amazing picture. Clicking pics is good thing but I wish every people should enjoy the beautiful heritage and know how Alauddin khalji made this beautiful structure. Many caves and underground jail structured rooms made at that time look horrible but people never understand its value, in fact, they make walls of the heritage grubby.

That day, I saw plenty of foreign tourists who were only busy in taking pictures of monument and they understood its value. Even, their guide told the value of this building how Alauddin khalji spend time and made wall. So, according to me, outside people or tourists understand our historical values but why Indian tourists never understand the value of their own heritage. They write names like laila, majnu and make the heritage dirty. Is this a good thing? Even foreign tourists are keen to take monument pictures and don’t take their own photos or selfies.

We also took a lot of selfies and pictures and we got tired because Hauz-khas is very enormous heritage and there are beaches, gardens, bars, and tons of other things. And so we got tired and decided to take some rest.

Most probably, people take their own selfie and we noticed it. But the good moment was that when we saw people making funny poses and capturing selfies with different hair style and pouts.

However, we enjoyed extensively and took selfies with historical monuments and also saw many natural things like bats sleeping on trees, which was my first experience. It looked a little horrible but the astonishing and plentiful pigeons were flying here and there. I think everyone must visit Hauz Khas once, not just to take selfies but also to enjoyed natural beauty of heritage and understand ‘how a great king made this wonderful architecture’.

Eventually, I took a lot of pictures of Hauz-Khas lake, monuments, and architecture but One thing that was missing was that there were no ladders to go nearby the lake but the connection between building and lake is so good that it can be seen from the room of Alauddin khalji.

Everyday is women’s day- Happy women’s day 2019

Everyday is women’s day- Happy women’s day 2019

The main focal point of International women’s day is women’s right. This is the day to celebrate womanhood. I hope everyone knows the history so, we don’t need to go back more than a decade on February 28, 1909. I am going to tell you about the woman’s right that a woman has or hasn’t, women’s empowerment, women’s equality, women's independence, women’s freedom etc. As you know, woman’s day is to celebrate women's empowerment and is the day to protest for the women’s rights especially against society.

Mainly, a woman plays many roles in her life, as a daughter, a wife, a sister, and the most important role is of a mother. Each and every woman has to take care of her family, brother & sister, a husband, daughter/ son and in-laws. She takes all responsibility with sincerity. At this women’s Day, Google made a doodle which was dedicated to all women. The Doodle had 11 beautiful quotes with colourful images of 11 dialogue boxes with the word "woman" written in 11 languages, including Hindi and Bengali.

Everyone of us must have seen the movie ‘Pink’ which was based on how a girl is judged by coming home at late night, with their friends, boyfriends and plenty of other things which people used to judge them by. A woman is judged in office, home, school, and collages, why? This is an important question. Women are the trending topic everyone wants to talk in society and social media like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Everyone tells that the generation is changed but how far? Even, everyone knows that without women world is nothing?

A woman can't take her own decisions even in the 21st century because of the fear of society. Still today, she is not allowed to do what she wants. You can see in social media, many people posts related to women’s rights or empowerment and talk about their freedom philosophy but this is only limited to this one day in a whole year and after that they forget everything..

The next day, they start with the same thing against the woman and talk about her dresses what she wears and what she should wear? But who are they to discuss and tell about what a woman should wear or not? So, I would just like to say that, please stop these nonsense now. We don’t want to be treated like goddess, we only want respect, gender equality and live our lives on our own terms and take our own decisions.

Therefore, don’t judge us by our clothes and just give us a life where we can take our own decisions. So, Happy women’s day, celebrate this day with your family, friends, and colleagues and let’s bring a change in this society.

How bad boss could be a good boss?

How bad boss could be a good boss?

The World is becoming noisier and you have to make yourself stronger for your work. Boss is a leader of a company and he is always right whether he is a good or bad. And a boss always thinks about how to make a business or company successful. Every owner wants his company to be a big brand and to be known to everyone using their products.

However, being a manager is more complex than it looks. But one thing you must remember that a good boss can motivate you and give you a lot of energy.

Every employee wants to do a comfortable and a profitable job which can fulfill all their demands. But this depends on the company because the company is a second home for employees where they spend 8 or 9 hours per day.

But the big question is that how do your boss treat you? They understand, motivate, or encourage you or not? If you want your business to be ameliorating and want to get more benefits then you must understand, trust, and motivate your employees. If you don’t encourage or understand your employees then you can't be a good boss. As you know every employee does back bitching most probably talk of company facilities which they do not get as an employee.

Unfortunately, sometimes boss is too bellicose to you because of revenue that he wants but never gets and that time the use of invective words makes a good boss convert into a bad boss. Why don’t they understand that being a little patience and encouraging their employees can change all these things and can generate positive vibes among the employees? Hence, the boss should always be a professional and talk to their colleagues professionally.

On the other hand, if you want to make more profits and make your business more successful then you must know your employees. This is the first priority that is needed and you must treat them with a good behavior to encourage their work. Sometimes boss blames their team member who does nothing wrong and never takes zero responsibility and this makes the situation more critical. So, this is the negative behaviour which shows the selfishness and arrogance and this situation sucks and does no good to an employee.

Most probably, an employee and a boss should always be connected with each other along with their comfortability. If the good boss doesn’t know about the work like website development or SEO or content writing, then he discusses with their colleagues and discusses about making it better and asks for suggestions. So, don't try to frustrate colleagues and never ask the same thing again and again. Make more solidarity with your employees, this is the thing that differentiates a bad boss from a good boss.

As you hear that a bad boss is always abusive and misbehaves with their juniors but Why to be irritated and frustrated all the time when your employees work genuinely?

Axiom is that you must support your employees and juniors. Every employee is a breadwinner for their family and themselves so the boss should understand their workers too.

A bad boss is the primary reason for quitting of 50% of employees from their job. There are many factors which make a boss bad but inability to understand their employees is one of the major reasons which are found generally common. The micromanagement is also one of the common complaints that many employees face.

According to the survey 48% of bosses like to be seen as experts or authority personality. President Truman famous adage “the buck stops here.” every boss should internalize that message.

Usually, the inspirational boss always makes their employees credible which makes the business or company more successful. Good and smart boss who is a good speaker and has understandable personality also liked and respected more by their employees and juniors.

An unforgettable journey to Lucknow

An unforgettable journey to Lucknow

We, 3 girls, started our journey from Delhi to Lucknow to attend friend’s marriage. But let me first tell you about the route from Delhi to Lucknow which is well connected from all the metros and other major Indian cities by air, road, and rail. But the train network is better and virtually all trains from Delhi to East of India have a stoppage in Lucknow.

Additionally, Lucknow is also well connected by buses. However, the roads aren't great in UP so I would recommend you to take the train which is better and comfortable for short distance (a night’s journey).

So, we decided to start our journey after office. As usual, Our seat was not confirmed and we had only 2 seats, another 1 seat was in RAC but sharing a seat with some other person was very complex and confused for us. And therefore, we named that person ‘critical situation’.

Now it was the sleeping time so we slept and waked up in the morning at sharp 6 o'clock. It was a cold windy morning in January with an amazing rain. Our train stopped in Alamnagar before the main station of charbagh and the train was 2 hours late so we decided to alight at Alamnagar station.

We took the e-rickshaw instantly to enjoy the rainy weather. We even got drenched but we enjoyed each and every moment. We visited the main city Lucknow “nawabo ka sehar”.

That moment was so enjoyable and amazing. Truly we felt like “smile, you are in Lucknow” (muskuraiye, aap lucknow mai hai) as you know it is the slogan of Lucknow to welcome everyone in their state.

True to its word, Lucknow is a gourmet’s paradise.  It’s the cleanest and the prettiest city I’ve ever seen in India. I couldn’t believe that there was hardly any litter on the streets of Lucknow and it is surprising in India.

Another thing that strikes my mind about Lucknow is that, like most other places in India, it doesn’t have a stray dog problem.

We finally visited Shikha’s home, where we saw a beautiful bunches of flowers and met an amazing family where we never feel like guests.

Actually, her family treated us as their own family members. The best thing I had was with the two little kids of the neighbor who became very familiar with me I played the whole day with them.

After that, we went to the park in the evening where we, all three friends enjoyed together.

After that, we had to attend the marriage ceremony of our friend so we got ready for the marriage party. We attended the marriage ceremony and after that, we explored the whole Lucknow whole night.

Firstly we visited front river which is a very beautiful place but we could be able to see everything clearly because it was night but the good thing was that we clicked a lot of pictures on the roads and it was like ‘swag in the air’.

In addition to that, we went to see Lucknow’s sights, like the magnificent Bara Imambara. We also went for Awadhi cuisine, which didn’t disappoint us and we got a panoramic view.

Since it was still night so we couldn't go inside but we saw it from outside and enjoyed that historical monument. So, now I can definitely recommend everybody to visit Lucknow-the capital of Uttar Pradesh once.

Untouched & unexplored beauty of Auli in Uttarakhand

Untouched & unexplored beauty of Auli in Uttarakhand

Starting from Delhi to Auli, the whole trip was an amazing experience. We felt like gravity of the mountains are attracting us towards them, to explore the beauty of it. Being an isolated place we didn’t had much to do but enough to perceive what God has given us in the form of nature. So, if you have the desire to visit Auli-Uttarakhand then you must know that this is the best skiing place in India, and it is not only for those who love skiing but also for those who love snow.

If you think yourself as a challenging person then you must visit here because in winters the temperature at night goes down to less than -25 degree C. We were there on 30th December to celebrate New Year party, at that time temperature was went down around -14 degree C. That was the extreme temperature, I ever felt in my life. But thanks to the bonfire, due to which all our 7 friends spent 3-4 hours of quality time at night.

Even, you can enjoy a ropeway ride from Joshimath to Auli’s artificial lake or chairlift ride from Auli’s view point to artificial lake which is worth having. But we did not do this because we loved to trek in the icey Mountain. We also found Colourful camps but we stayed at 'HOTEL SHIVA PALACE', which is the best hotel for maximum number of people coming from Delhi, and we felt like home there. The Charges are normal in winter season, 3500 for one person for 2 nights 3 days. They also have geyser facility which is always required in a cold climate. It is an isolated area, separated from the outer world and had a scenic view also for the ones who enjoy being in peace.

From Joshimath to Auli
We were living in Joshimath and next morning we went to Auli which is 12 km away from Joshimath. Our journey started and we saw the astonishing iceberg which looked like heaven. The beautiful green and brown mountains looked like a panoramic view. We covered 12 kms and visited Auli. Since it was a New Year time, so there were loads of people doing trekking, hill camping, skiing, and ropeway. We start climbing and when we reached at the mountain top we enjoyed a lot.

Gradually, the time came to dusk, the sun set and moon come out and so we came down to our hotel. It was difficult for us to come down
because of the ice slides. We were slipping and falling. Finally we reached our hotel. Since it was a New Year, we decided to do a full night celebration. We took a 15 mins power nap and after that we went for a bone fire. We saw a lot of people from different states enjoying and dancing on Garhwali songs.

The DJ was nice and played all type of songs such as Bhojpuri, Bollywood songs and Garhwali songs. Those who didn't know the Garhwali dance followed the locals doing Garhwali steps included me. This is how we enjoyed with Garhwali people and welcomed New Year 2019 with
our open arms. I hope you will also like to visit Auli which is a beautiful destination in Uttarakhand. However, we did not ski but we came to know the India's best skiing destination. Now let’s go through the brief description which will let you know that how you can enjoy in Auli?

Bonfire in chilled weather and minus temperature

Bonfire in Joshimath is the best way, especially at night with friends. We all enjoyed together and had a great moment, so anyone visiting Auli must spend one-night in Joshimath, especially in winter
season enjoying Bonfire, dancing with Garhwal people and following their steps seriously. It's great to follow their steps because it's simple and easy to learn and follow.

Snow shots of vodka and rum

In the chilled weather enjoying the snow shots of vodka and pegs of rum is the best thing. As you know, rum warms your body. Many people
joined us and enjoyed shots of vodka and rum together. The proverb "chaar chand laga dena" is best suited for our group. Nobody created any scene and just enjoyed each and every moment “living life like today is last day". So, we enjoyed the party like that and many other groups who came with their friends joined us.

Self made CHUSKI with ice from the grounds.

This is the wonderful moment to enjoy with your friends, between the snowy mountains and playing with self-made “chuski” with ice from the grounds. When we visited, there were no snowfall but we made it ourselves. We left nothing which gave us entertainment like doing trekking and all. We threw ice on each other and clicked a lot of amazing photographs which were like heaven on earth.

Best food of our trip- Maggi and a Cup of Tea

After enjoying each and every place around there, we got tired a lot. So we thought of having Chai and Maggi as on the mountains everywhere.
So we had Maggi with tea which was very delicious. Let me tell you that having Maggi and tea together is a delicious combination. You
must try it once. Since it was a New Year time, we got to know so many people from different places and enjoying and spending time with them learning their culture and dances was something we always remember in our life.
